A Builder Who Stays Involved
Mark Cooney Construction is led by Mark Cooney, a Licensed Building Practitioner with more than 15 years in construction. Mark provides building and earthworks services across Waikato and the Bay of Plenty, bringing practical trade experience and a hands-on approach to each project.
Practical Experience Across the Trades
Mark has been building independently since around 2010. Before moving into construction, he worked in mechanical, welding and fabrication roles. That background shapes the way he approaches building: understanding how things fit together, solving problems on site and paying attention to the details.
His building work spans new homes, renovations and extensions, framing, cladding, roofing, interior fit-out, decks, retaining walls, sheds and rural projects.
Direct Contact With Your Builder
You deal directly with Mark from the first discussion and site visit through to completion. He stays involved in the work, discusses practical options and keeps you informed as the project progresses.
Before work begins, the proposal sets out the agreed scope, allowances and exclusions. If existing conditions or project requirements change, Mark discusses the findings and proposed changes with you before additional work proceeds.
Building & Earthworks Together
MCC can combine building work with excavation and site preparation where the project calls for it. Foundations, deck piles, retaining walls, trenching and access work can be coordinated with the wider build, helping each stage connect with the next.
Work Planned Around Your Property
Every site has its own levels, access, ground conditions and existing structures. Mark takes these into account alongside your priorities, budget and timing. Where a designer, engineer or specialist trade is required, the building work is coordinated around their plans and requirements.
Working across Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Tokoroa, Putāruru, Tirau, Matamata and surrounding Waikato and Bay of Plenty towns and rural areas.
Send Mark your plans, a few photos or a short description of what you want to build. Include your site address and preferred timing so we can discuss the project and arrange the next step.
